SUMMARY:Lunchtalk with Bosch – Cybersecurity for Connected Products
DESCRIPTION:In this series of presentations/workshops we will bring up cybersecurity aspects relating to the design and development of connected products to position ourselves ready to meet the upcoming mandatory regulations. Today many cybersecurity regulations\, standards and tools are targeting traditional IT systems and in recent years OT systems are getting more and more included. But what about the smart products we put in our homes\, our offices or connect in our backyards or cities? These IoT devices or connected products have their own quirks and challenges – and soon their very own regulatory landscape that hopefully will result in a more resilient society and increased security for both companies and end consumers.\n\nThe first presentation in this series will take on a case study for a connected device. We will highlight some of the challenges faced with when designing and developing such a device. The focus will not be to deep dive in cryptography\, certificates or cipher suites\, but rather to focus on identifying risks and how to handle them. To wrap up\, we will also see how many of these challenges will become mandatory to solve in a few years’ time. \nThe presentation will be held by Andreas Elvstam Cantner\, from Bosch R&D Center Lund. Andreas has a background in embedded software engineering and have worked with various aspects of connected product development. For the past years Andreas has been working with the cybersecurity aspects of product development at Bosch. \nLight lunch included. \nFor questions or additional info\, please contact liza.johansson@ideonsciencepark.se \n\n\nRead more and sign up here!
